Dress Code Children

Donna’s Dance Studio has a mandatory dress code for children. We strongly believe that this code promotes discipline and proper classroom etiquette. All hair must be pulled back away from the face and neatly tied in an appropriate style at all times. No jewellery is permitted. Any student who does not meet the dress code will be asked to observe the class. The full dress code is listed in our student handbook available in the Download section at the foot of the Home page.

Payment Policy

What type of payments do you accept?

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, laser or credit card.

When are payments due?

Registration for class(es) is for the period of one academic year September to June with payment payable in three instalments. In order to reserve your place in the class(es) you have selected, your first term payment is due upon registration subsequent payments are due one week before the next term commences (see calendar and rates page). Payments can be made on-line or by post or in person at the Kinsale Rd., office. Please note, under no circumstances are teachers permitted to accept payments in class. Notification to withdraw from class during the academic year must be given in writing to Donna’s Dance Studio at least one month in advance. Failure to provide such written notice will result in your being billed for one month’s tuition fees. A €10 administration charge will be applied for returned cheques.

Should I expect to pay any additional fees?

Yes. There are a small number of charges for optional events at the studio

Our annual Dance Recital takes place each May. In order to avoid the expense of purchasing costumes, Donna’s Dance Studio operates a hire system for all of the children. The cost of costumes hire is €20 per costume and this fee includes all alterations and cleaning. These fees will be due in the Spring Term.

If your child is entered for a dance or drama examination your will need to pay an entry fee to the examining body. You will be notified in advance if your child is considered ready for the examination.

Are Fees Refundable?

Tuition and costume fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable. The refund policies of examination bodies differ and you should check with the administration staff for details.

Attendance Policy

At Donna’s Dance Studio, we take great pride in the professional standards, and commitment levels of all our staff. Our children’s program is a 36 week commitment and it should be just that... A commitment to teachers and fellow students to attend class promptly and consistently. As a matter of courtesy, you should notify the office in case of absence. In the recital term no more than 2 absences will be allowed or you may be asked to withdraw from the performance.

For their safety, your child may not be able to participate in class if they arrive more than 10 minutes late. This decision is strictly at the discretion of individual class teachers. If it is deemed unsafe for your child to participate, they will be asked to observe class and take notes.

Cancellation Policy

Donna’s Dance Studio reserves the right to cancel any class(es) that fail to meet our minimum enrolment requirement of ten students per class. In the event of such a cancellation, your will firstly be offered an alternative class place. If a suitable alternative class place is not available, you will be refunded for any remaining classes in the term.

Child Protection Policy
